— Josh Hoffman scored five touchdowns to lead Baldwin High to a 53-12 homecoming rout of Saint James Academy on Friday night.

Hoffman scored all five during the second and third quarters. Three of them were rushing touchdowns, including a 53-yarder. He also caught a 10-yard pass and turned it into a 55-yard touchdown reception. Hoffman scored again less than a minute later with a 25-yard interception return.

Baldwin (5-0) will travel to Louisburg on Friday in a battle of unbeaten Frontier League teams.

Tonganoxie — With five turnovers and 10 penalties, Tonganoxie gave winless Bonner Springs ample chances to erase that distinction, and the Braves capitalized.

Three of the Chieftains’ turnovers came in the second quarter, and each set up a BSHS score.

THS senior Ian McClellan led his team 129 rushing yards and a TD. Brady Waldeier ran for 76 yards and a score for Tongie (1-4).

Friday, Tonganoxie will travel to Lansing.
