Around and about

West Junior High School and Sunflower School earned the first-place team trophies in K-9 and K-6, respectively, Nov. 13 at the Southwest Junior High School chess tournament. Free State High School earned the third-place trophy in K-12, while Central Junior High School and SWJH claimed second and third, respectively, in K-9. Sunset Hills was second in K-6, and Cordley was third in K-3. Individually, CJHS’ Eddie Wilson was champion in K-9.
