KU seeking host families for international students participating in Thanksgiving homestay program

Kansas University is looking for area families willing to open their homes to KU international students.

The 56-year-old program seeks families willing to host one or more international students either on Thanksgiving Day or for the full Thanksgiving break, from Tuesday, Nov. 23, to Sunday, Nov. 28.

Last year, about 25 students participated in the program — typically about 25 to 30 students and 15 to 20 families participate each year.

Interested families can contact Galo Arturo Salcedo, program director for International Student and Scholar Services, at 864-3617 or isssprograms@ku.edu.
