The Lawrence High boys tennis team swept three doubles matches on its way to a 7-2 dual victory over Shawnee Mission West on Thursday at Lawrence High.

LHS’s Byron Varberg and Connor Schmidt notched an easy 8-0 victory in No. 1 doubles, while Ilan Rosen contributed an 8-6 victory in No. 1 singles.

The Lions’ other singles wins came from Schmidt (No. 2), Michael Sang (No. 3) and Pace Leggins (No. 6). Rosen and Sang combined for an 8-1 victory in No. 2 doubles, while Leggins teamed with Matt Grom for an 8-3 triumph in No. 3 doubles.

The dual was the Lions’ final tuneup before regionals, which are slated for Saturday.
