KU speaker to focus on ‘The Scientific Search for ET’

A real-life alien hunter is coming to Kansas University.

On Sunday, Seth Shostak, senior astronomer at the Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence Institute, will discuss the possibility of alien contact and what it would mean to the world.

He has suggested that despite the lack of signals from other societies, it may only be a few decades before traces of other civilizations are discovered.

His discussion, “The Scientific Search for ET,” can be heard at 7 p.m. Sunday at Alderson Auditorium in the Kansas Union.
