City Band concert in South Park moved to Murphy Hall
The Lawrence City Band concert in South Park tonight has been moved to room 130 of Kansas University’s Murphy Hall, city Parks and Recreation department officials said.
The concert begins at 8 p.m. It was moved because of the probability of rain in the next hour, said 6News meteorologist Matt Elwell.
Elwell said the ground was saturated from the rain that’s fallen in Lawrence recently and even if the rain stops in time for the concert, the park would be extremely muddy.
