Pretty Prairie ? Authorities have recovered the body of a Reno County man who had been missing at Cheney Lake in south-central Kansas.

Sheriff Randy Henderson said the body of Richard Travis was recovered from the lake early Monday. The Hutchinson News reports that the 27-year-old Travis is from Hutchinson.

The search began late Saturday afternoon after authorities received a report that someone had disappeared while on a boat that was pulling a tube.

The News reports that Travis and his son were on the tube and both fell off. The boat owner was able to help rescue the child but not Travis.
