Four arrested, police still looking for two more in early morning robbery

Lawrence Police have arrested four suspects and are looking for two more after an early morning robbery and burglary at a home in the 1400 block of Tennessee Street.

According to Lawrence Police Sgt. Matt Sarna, a victim reported that six unknown people broke into their home at 2:47 a.m. Monday morning. The suspects threatened the victim with a knife while they removed property from the home. No injuries were reported.

The victim was able to get a vehicle description and called police, who located the vehicle at 3:07 a.m. in the 1500 block of Highway 40 in north Lawrence, Sarna said.

Police arrested four suspects, including two Leavenworth men, an 18 and 19-year-old, an 18-year-old Lansing woman, and a 17-year-old Lansing resident. The two Leavenworth men and Lansing woman were booked into the Douglas County Jail on charges of aggravated robbery and aggravated burglary, and the 17-year-old was taken into juvenile custody.

Sarna said police were unable to locate two other suspects, a white male and a black male. No further description was provided.
