The city of Lawrence will conduct its annual Spring Compost Sale at the Wood Recovery and Composting Facility, 1420 E. 11th St., on these dates:

• 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. March 18.

• 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. March 19.

• 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. March 20.

Compost will cost $10 per truckload for people who opt to have it loaded by tractor into pickups and small trailers, and free for people who load the compost themselves. People who want to self-load should bring their own shovels and containers.

Only cash will be accepted, and the event is intended for Lawrence residents for residential use.
