Prosecutors decide deadly shooting that occurred during Topeka home invasion was justified

? Prosecutors have decided that a deadly shooting that occurred during a Topeka home invasion was justified.

Shawnee County District Attorney Chad Taylor announced Wednesday that he wouldn’t file charges against the person who killed 28-year-old Reuel Bridges of Topeka.

Taylor said in a news release that the person who shot Bridges was “well-within his lawful rights to protect himself and others from immediate harm.” Taylor described the shooting as “defensive.”

The Topeka Capital-Journal reported that the shooting happened Dec. 13 at a house that has been converted into apartments.

The name of the man who shot Bridges wasn’t released.
