Hartford, Conn. — Kemba Walker’s 20 points, and a suffocating defense led Connecticut (10-0) over Harvard.

Syracuse, N.Y. — Kris Joseph had a career-high 25 points for Syracuse.

No. 6 Pittsburgh 61, American 46

Pittsburgh — Brad Wanamaker scored 19 points, and Pittsburgh held American to a lone basket for 10 minutes in the first half, earning its 200th victory under coach Jamie Dixon.

Las Vegas — D.J. Gay scored 18 points, and Malcolm Thomas fell just shy of a double-double as San Diego State won its school-record 14th straight game in the Las Vegas Holiday Hoops Classic.

Gainesville, Fla. — Erving Walker scored 20 points for Florida.

South Bend, Ind. — Tim Abromaitis had 21 points and 11 rebounds to lead Notre Dame over winless Maryland-Baltimore County.

It was the second double-double of the season for Abromaitis and the third in his career. He equaled a career high in rebounds.
