Salina man convicted of killing two sentenced to more than 80 years in prison

? A man convicted of killing two Salina men has been sentenced to more than 80 years in prison.

Twenty-nine-year-old Willie Parker was sentenced Thursday in the deaths of 24-year-old Alfred Mack Jr. and 22-year-old Justin Letourneau.

Those sentences will not start until he finishes a sentence for aggravated battery and obstructing the legal process. He was on parole from that sentence when Mack and Letourneau were killed on June 19, 2009.

Before pronouncing sentence, Saline County District Court Judge Jerome Hellmer denied Parker’s motion for a new trial.

The Salina Journal reported that before he was sentenced, Parker told relatives of the two men that he did not commit the crime.
