KU basketball recruit Perry Ellis cuts school list to six

Perry Ellis, a 6-foot-8 junior forward from Wichita Heights, has trimmed his list of prospective schools to six.

Ellis, who is Rivals.com’s No. 19-rated basketball player in the Class of 2012, announced on Friday morning that he has a final list of Kansas, Kentucky, Kansas State, Memphis, Wichita State and Oklahoma. He did not list his final six in any particular order of preference.

He had received offers from the six schools plus Texas A&M, Wake Forest, Iowa, Stanford, Georgetown and UCLA. He was also recruited by North Carolina, Oklahoma State, UNLV, Miami, Wisconsin, Louisville, Ohio State, Yale, Tennessee and Marquette.
