Book signing benefits medical clinic
Lawrence author Jody White will have a book-signing event today to benefit New Hope Medical Ministry, a clinic that provides family practice care for free or at a reduced cost.
The event will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. today at New Life in Christ Church, 619 Vt.
White will be autographing pre-release copies of her new Civil War novel “Scarlet White.” The book costs $18, and the profits will be donated to the clinic. The novel will be available next month in bookstores.
