Baker soccer falls in semis

? Baker University’s women’s soccer team fell to Hastings (Neb.) College, 3-1, on Friday in the semifinals of the NAIA playoffs.

The third-place finish is the best in Baker school history. The Wildcats finished the season 14-6-4. Jen Sampson netted the lone Baker goal in the second half. Hastings scored all of its goals in the second half.

The Baker offense recorded 12 shots with seven on target. Hastings recorded 14 shots, nine of which were on goal.

“We had a fantastic season and left everything on the table,” coach Nate Houser said.
