Annual Day of Caring still looking for volunteers for April 24 event
The Roger Hill Volunteer Center is conducting its annual Day of Caring on April 24.
For the event, hundreds of volunteers work on dozens of local service projects in the Lawrence area. Volunteer options include gardening activities, helping at a library book sale, as well as projects at various social service agencies.
The event begins with a breakfast at 9 a.m. at Free State High School, 4700 Overland Drive.
