Dental clinic to offer free care on Friday

Douglas County Dental Clinic will be offering free dental care on Friday for 60 low-income Douglas County residents who don’t have health insurance.

The event will be on a first-come, first-served basis, and screenings will begin at 6:30 a.m. at the clinic, 316 Maine.

The clinic has volunteers who will provide examinations, cleanings, fillings and extractions.

Participants must be at or below 200 percent of federal poverty level. For a household of four, that would be $44,099 per year or $3,674 per month.
