Suspects flee after attempted armed robbery
No injuries, items stolen during incident
Lawrence police responded to an armed robbery call off Emery Road Saturday evening.
The call came in around 5:30 p.m. Law enforcement officials said two men were entering their apartment building when two men, one of whom had a gun, approached them.
The men tried to force entry into the residence, but the two men were able to get inside and lock the door without incident. The suspects then allegedly fled the scene.
No one has been taken into custody in relation to the incident.
