The city commission on a split vote ratified the contract to construct a new terminal at Lawrence Municipal Airport. Commissioners Mike Amyx and Nancy Shontz opposed approval of a $567,421 contract. Total cost of the job was to run about $770,000 due to the cost of a new water line to the site.
