Details approved for July 4 bicycle race
Commissioner approved one of the final details for a July 4 bicycle race downtown.
Commissioners unanimously agreed to allow the sale and consumption of beer on portions of the sidewalks of Massachusetts Street, Eighth Street and Ninth Street for the Tour of Lawrence bike race.
The commission previously had agreed to support the race, and had given preliminary approval to the alcohol sales.
