4-H competition set for Saturday
Some of the region’s most talented youth will be showcasing their skills this weekend in Lawrence.
About 250 4-H’ers will participate in the annual Regional Club Day after earning a top-place finish in county competition. The youth are from Douglas, Osage, Johnson, Miami and Shawnee counties.
The event is from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at Lawrence High School, 1901 La. 4-H’ers will compete in a variety of categories including instrumental music, dance, dramatics, project talks and demonstrations.
