Young Life schedules film festival this month
Douglas County Young Life will be host to its third annual film festival from 7 to 8:30 p.m. March 30 at the Southwest Junior High auditorium.
The festival features videos created by Young Life leaders and children in the community.
“The goal is for kids and leaders to connect, for the community to show their support for Lawrence teens and the arts and for everyone to have fun,” said Rick Mumford, the area director of Douglas County.
Tickets are $7 and can be purchased at the door. All proceeds go to support Young Life and WyldLife in Douglas County.
Young Life and WyldLife is a volunteer-led organization that reaches out to kids at the high school and junior high level. The group works with students at Lawrence High, Free State High, Baldwin High and West, Southwest and South Junior High schools.
