The League of Women Voters of Lawrence/Douglas County will have a legal issues meeting on education funding in Kansas at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Lawrence Public Library, 707 Vt.

Mark Tallman, assistant executive director of the Kansas Association of School Boards, will talk about events that led up to the final funding package adopted last spring by the Kansas Legislature. Lawrence schools Superintendent Rick Doll will discuss how those funding changes affect the district.

The event is free and open to the public. A continental breakfast will begin at 10 a.m.
