4 bound for trial in murder-for-hire case
Topeka ? A northeast Kansas woman, her son and two other people have been bound over for trial in the killing of the woman’s husband.
Fifty-one-year-old Gerald S. Eberhardt was shot to death Oct. 25 at his home in Tecumseh.
A preliminary hearing ended Wednesday for 43-year-old Michelle L. Eberhardt and her 19-year-old son, Scott M. Mosher, both of Tecumseh, and two of Mosher’s friends — 20-year-old Derrick Dewayne Haase and 22-year-old Stephanie A. Menard, both of Topeka.
Shawnee County District Judge Mark Braun scheduled arraignment for Jan. 7.
All four face one count each of first-degree murder and conspiracy to commit murder. Michelle Eberhardt is also charged with one count of soliciting murder, and is accused of arranging a murder for hire.
