Wakarusa museum gets heritage grant

The Wakarusa River Valley Heritage Museum in Clinton has been awarded a $3,189 Heritage Grant from the Kansas Humanities Council.

The grant will support the museum’s work in the digital cataloging of its collections, including family histories and Underground Railroad abolitionist history of the Wakarusa River Valley. The grant is part of the Kansas Humanities Council’s work in supporting community-based activities.
