Goessel ? Ethan Kay led three Veritas Christian players in double figures as the Eagles beat Central Christian, 49-30, in the fifth-place game of the Bluebird Classic boys basketball tournament on Saturday.

Thomas Bachert had 11 and Elijah Penny 10 for Veritas (1-3).

“The offense was really clicking tonight for the first time,” Eagles coach Gary Hammer said. “It was definitely our best game of the year.”

Veritas will travel Tuesday to Kansas City to face Center Place.
