The Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 852 in Lawrence and its auxiliaries are conducting a toy drive to benefit local charities.

The band Little Joe and the Wisemen will play at a public event from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. today at the post, 138 Ala.

The cover charge is a new toy valued at $10 or more.

The public can also drop toys off from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. today.

Toys can also be dropped off at the post after 3 p.m. during the week.

The final drop-off time for the drive will be from noon to 10 p.m. Dec. 19 at the post.
