Air Force Airman Ashley N. Burns has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas.

Burns, a 2008 graduate of Eudora High School, is the daughter of David Burns, Eudora.

Army Pvt. Gabriel H.J. O’Brien has graduated from One Station Unit Training at Fort Knox, Ky., which included basic combat training and advanced individual training (AIT).

During the first nine weeks of initial entry training, the trainee completed basic combat training. During AIT, the soldier completed the armor crewman course to receive skill training in conducting tank unit defensive and offensive combat operations.

O’Brien is a 2008 graduate of Lawrence High School and the son of Dana Holloway, Lawrence.
