Reed Medical Group will conduct a garage sale, bake sale and car wash on Saturday to raise funds for the family of Erica Smith.

Smith, a Free State High School senior, was injured in an Aug. 5 traffic accident on Sixth Street when she was ejected from the back seat of a vehicle. She was flown by air ambulance to Kansas University Hospital in Kansas City, Kan.

Family friends said Smith will be coming home in three weeks in preparation for rehabilitation. She is expected to graduate with her class in May.

The fundraiser will be from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at 404 Maine. Anyone who would like to help may contact Connie Bishop at 842-7724, extension 110.
