Friends of Kaw plans fundraiser
Friends of the Kaw is holding its annual fundraiser from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. Oct. 28.
The non-profit organization, dedicated to preserving the Kansas River, is set to entertain donors at Springhill Suites, 1 Riverfront Plaza, with appetizers, a cash bar, holiday shopping opportunities and a presentation on the recent Kaw River Inventory Float.
Tickets cost $40 per person, and reservations must be made by Oct. 21. Tickets can be purchased by calling Riverkeeper Laura Calwell at (785) 312-7200.
