Veritas falls to St. Marys

? The Veritas football team’s season ended on Tuesday with a 36-11 loss to St. Marys Academy in the first round of the Kansas Christian Athletic Association playoffs.

St. Marys held Veritas scoreless until the fourth quarter.

Neal Daniels scored all of Veritas’ points. He kicked a 36-yard field goal, rushed for a three-yard touchdown and scored on the two-point conversion.

Greg Moats scored two rushing touchdowns and threw for one touchdown for St. Marys.

Veritas finished the season with a 5-4 record.

“We had a good season,” Veritas coach Doug Bennett said. “We made a lot of progress. … We were competing in every game.”
