KU librarian joins public library board
Frances Devlin, a humanities librarian and reference coordinator for Anschutz and Watson libraries at Kansas University, has joined the Lawrence Public Library Board of Trustees.
Mayor Mike Dever appointed Devlin to the post April 29. Devlin’s board term runs until 2012.
Other board members are Christopher F. Burger, of Stevens and Brand LLP, chairman; Kathleen O’Leary Morgan, Morgan Quitno Press, vice chairwoman; Terence E. Leibold, Barber Emerson LC, secretary-treasurer; Michael Machell, Prescription Solutions; and Deborah Thompson, Lawrence Memorial Hospital.
