Rebels Champs: The Kansas Rebels won the U-14 Hawaiian Hitfest baseball tournament. Team members are Blake Bergmann, Anthony Buffalomeat, Sean Cesare, Reece Conklin, David Pierce, C.J. Roush, Montana Samuels, Tyler Self, Cameron Solko, Chandler Thomann, Elliot Vaughn, Jake Vinoverski and Troy Willoughby. Coaches are Randy Samuels, Ray Buffalomeat, Chuck Vinoverski and Scott Thomann.

Reichert Edges Roesler: Van Reichert fired a 2-under-par 70 and won Sunday’s Jayhawk Golf Club weekly tournament at Alvamar by a stroke over Chad Roesler. Conrad Roberts was third with a 72. In net scoring, Jeff Miller and Mike Beaton each carded 67. Ed Scholtes was next at 70. Sunday was also Guest Day and the winner was Chuck Norris with a net 68.

Self Classic June 13: The annual Bill Self Golf Classic, a four-person scramble to help fund youth scholarships for the city parks and recreation department, will be June 13 at Eagle Bend. Phenix U-18 Second: Lawrence Phenix U-18 finished second in a Triple Crown fast-pitch tournament in Oklahoma City. Team members are Kristen Bell, Michelle Bowman, Allison Coy, Jamie Jarrett, Dana Kramer, Brittaney Krug, Jordan Kruse, Brandi Lundquist, Abby Mott, Sydney Seratte, Chelsea Sevigny, Taylor Simmons, Dequesne Sprow and Jourdan Sumonja. KSA Tryouts: Kansas Soccer Academy will conduct premier team tryouts for U-10 through high school youth at 1 p.m. on June 14-15 at Free State High. KSA is operated by Kansas University coach Mark Francis and Free State coach Jason Pendleton.
