Kick-off of film fest canceled
The start of the second annual Downtown Lawrence Film Festival – set to begin Thursday night – has been canceled because of concerns about the weather.
The fest will start next June 19, with the film “Notorious” at the southwest corner of Ninth and New Hampshire streets. Live music will begin at 8 p.m., followed by drawings for prizes at 9 p.m. and the film at 9:15 p.m.
