The Aquatics Division of the Lawrence Parks and Recreation Department will host the Wave the Wheat Meet from July 10 through July 13 at the Indoor Aquatic Center, 4706 Overland Drive.

The meet is the largest youth competitive swim meet in the Missouri Valley swimming region.

More than 750 swimmers and about 1,700 spectators are expected to attend.

Because of the meet, pool hours will change. The lap pool will be closed from 1 p.m. July 10 though July 13. The leisure pool will be closed July 11 through July 13.

The Outdoor Aquatic Center, 727 Ky., will be available for public swimming from 1 p.m. to 8:45 p.m. daily. Public lap swimming is also available from 10 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
