Fireworks set at lake
Lawrence’s annual July Fourth fireworks display will light up the sky about 10 p.m. Friday at Clinton Lake.
The show by the Lawrence Jaycees was moved this year from the Kansas River to Clinton Lake – at Sesquicentennial Point, which is just north of Eagle Bend Golf Course east of the dam.
Parking will be available in specified locations, not on Clinton Dam. And it’s illegal to shoot off fireworks at Sesquicentennial Point.
