Washington ? Kansas will be recognized during the president’s State of the Union address on Monday.

Steve Hewitt, the city manager of Greensburg, Kan., has been invited to sit with first lady Laura Bush during the annual speech. President Bush is expected to single out Hewitt and praise his environmentally friendly rebuilding efforts in the tornado-devastated city.
