New member to join dealer review board

Gov. Kathleen Sebelius recently appointed a new member and reappointed five members to the Kansas Dealer Review Board to help maintain the reliability of vehicle dealerships in Kansas.

Jerry Waltrip, Pittsburg, worked as a news reporter for 50 years. He is currently a substitute teacher in the Pittsburg school district and has been appointed to a three-year term on the board.

H. Dale Willey, Lawrence; Paul Garret, Topeka; John Morse, Centerville; and Tim Sankey, Salina, have all been reappointed for three-year terms, and Mike Steven, Wichita, has been reappointed to a one-year term.

The Kansas Dealer Review Board confers on matters related to regulations to improve dealer practices, makes suggestions and recommendations for changes in laws relating to vehicle sales, acts as a resource for vehicle industry problems and provides expertise to uncover operating problems created by existing laws.
