City to discuss future sales tax election
City commissioners are set to get serious about discussing a future sales tax election.
Commissioners at their Tuesday evening meeting agreed to place an item on their May 6 agenda to discuss a future sales tax ballot issue.
The latest proposal has come from Mayor Mike Dever, who has floated the idea of a sales tax to pay for the increasing costs of the city’s public transit system.
