Relay for Life captains to pick campsites

Captains of teams participating in the June 13 Relay for Life Douglas County can pick their teams’ campsites at a meeting Thursday at Lawrence Memorial Hospital, Meeting Room A. The meeting begins at 5:30 p.m., and captains also will be briefed on how to prepare their teams for a successful relay.

Relay for Life involves teams of 8 to 15 participants who raise money for the American Cancer Society by walking around the Free State High School track for 12 hours. Teams may camp out while music, games and entertainment go on throughout the night.

This year’s theme is One World, One Cure.
