The Salvation Army needs three to four volunteers Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. to assist with incoming food donations.

¢ Special Olympics Kansas is putting on the Metro Cycling Competition from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at Haskell University Gym. The group is in need of volunteers to assist as timers, stagers, course marshals and to help with food preparation and award presentation.

¢ Central Junior High School Parents Group seeks volunteers who enjoy crafts to help students create wearable items out of duct tape at their after-school program. Volunteers will assist students April 21, 22 and 24 at 2:45 p.m. and April 23 at 1:30 p.m. No experience is necessary.

¢ The city of Lawrence needs volunteers to assist with the Earth Day Celebration Saturday in South Park. Volunteers will help with setup from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. and cleanup after 4 p.m.
