MU linebacker injures knee

? Missouri linebacker Van Alexander will have surgery Monday after suffering a knee injury in practice. Alexander tore his right anterior cruciate ligament after intercepting a Chase Daniel pass on the final play of practice on Thursday. The senior-to-be, who started eight games last season at strongside linebacker, will miss the rest of spring practice but is expected to be healthy when the Tigers open the 2008 season on Aug. 30 against Illinois in St. Louis.
