Lawrence and area Boy Scouts will conduct their 21st annual food drive, “Scouting for Food,” on April 19.

Scouts will collect canned and packaged nonperishable food items on April 19 and deliver them to area food pantries.

Starting Thursday, Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts will deliver fliers to homes in certain coverage areas asking people to donate and place items on their porches after 9 a.m. April 19.

After last year’s drive, more than 3,500 pounds of food was distributed to six area food pantries.
