Forum to address senior citizens’ needs

Douglas County legislators will address issues that are important to senior citizens during a forum in November.

Rosemary Kennedy Chapin, Kansas University professor and director of the Office of Aging and Long Term Care, will moderate a question-and-answer session following comments from the legislators.

The Interagency Network for Aging is sponsoring the forum, which will be from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Nov. 7 at the Lawrence Public Library, 707 Vt. Registration will begin at 1:30 p.m. Pre-registration is recommended because of limited seating. To pre-register, call Sandra Kelly-Allen at 843-3060.

INFA is an aging partnership made up of directors from local agencies that provide services to seniors. The purpose is to work together to better meet the needs of seniors in the Lawrence community.
