‘Rabbit’ creators to appear at library

Author Deborah Duvall and illustrator Murv Jacobs will be at the Lawrence Public Library at 10:30 a.m. Nov. 3 to talk about and sign copies of their new book, “Rabbit Goes to Kansas.”

“Rabbit Goes to Kansas” is the story of a trip Ji-Stu the Rabbit took with his traveling companion Wildcat from the old Cherokee lands of Indian Territory to a steep hill in eastern Kansas. The hill is covered with sunflowers, and topped by a giant cottonwood, beneath which live funny red and blue birds. Ji-Stu has come to look for their feathers, but instead they teach him a new game that will make him famous back home.

The event is free.
