City officials at an upcoming meeting will present information about a project to rehabilitate old bricks along a portion of Ohio Street.

The meeting will be at 7 p.m. Monday at the Lawrence Public Library, 707 Vt. City engineers will provide details about the project, which will return Ohio Street between Sixth and Eighth streets to a brick street. The project will involve removing the existing asphalt overlay, removing and salvaging layers of brick that are under the asphalt and constructing a new roadway using the salvaged bricks.

The project is expected to be bid in January, with construction beginning in spring 2008 and lasting about six months.
