Area employees dine at chili cook-off
Pinnacle Career Institute, Lawrence, welcomed representatives from several area employers for the institute’s third annual Chili Cook-off.
The event, conducted at the institute, 1601 W. 23rd St., accommodated attendees from Lawrence Memorial Hospital, Massage Envy, Express Personnel, Community Blood Center, Sunflower Broadband, Lawrence High School, Jersey Mike’s and FedEx.
Sixteen students, faculty and staff entered the contest. Winners:
¢ People’s Choice: Debbie Liddel, Chili with a Twist; and Tee-Jay Barnhart, Guess Who Chili.
¢ Judge’s Choice: Jessica Waggoner, Daddy’s Secret; and Barnhart, Guess Who Chili.
