Area residents tonight will have another chance to learn about a major road construction project planned for the intersection of 19th and Louisiana streets.

The city will host a meeting outlining plans for the project from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. today in the Lawrence High School cafeteria, 1901 La.

Planned improvements include lengthening the left turn lane on 19th Street east of Louisiana, construction of a center turn lane on 19th Street from Louisiana west to Alabama Street, and construction of a bus turnout lane on Louisiana south of 19th Street. The road work is expected to begin this summer.
