Elected Democrats to meet with public

? The public will have an opportunity to talk with some local Democratic Party officeholders Saturday at Lecompton Territorial Capital Museum.

State Sen. Marci Francisco, Douglas County District Attorney Charles Branson, County Treasurer Paula Gilchrist, County Clerk Jamie Shew and Register of Deeds Kay Pesnell will be at the museum from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Anyone who has questions or wants to talk to the officeholders is welcome to come by, Francisco said.

“Often people have a problem, but they aren’t sure who to approach to take care of it,” she said.

The officeholders expect to have similar sessions later in other county locations, Francisco said.
