Jets practice flyover for Saturday’s game
Event planned in conjunction with KU Homecoming
Fighter jets Friday afternoon practiced flying over Lawrence in preparation for Kansas University’s Homecoming ceremony Saturday.
KU associate athletic director Jim Marchiony said the jets made the trip from St. Louis in order to determine how long Saturday’s flight would take. Marchiony said the jets left the area shortly after 3 p.m.
However, they will return to Lawrence Saturday morning.
